How do you write Meister in English?
Meister looks like master and is not. It is an examined supervisory qualification, sitting at level 6, with no academic credit behind it.
short answer
Write it as industrial foreman or shop-floor supervisor, and keep the German word in brackets with its level. Master implies a postgraduate degree at level 7 that the holder does not have. In French the functional match is agent de maîtrise or chef d'équipe, not technicien.
