What is a Portuguese or Brazilian nursing diploma worth in Switzerland and Germany?

Nursing is one of the few professions where no employer can hire you on the diploma alone. A national body reads it first.

Nursing is regulated in Switzerland and in Germany, so the diploma is never read by the employer first. Switzerland routes every foreign nursing diploma through the Swiss Red Cross. Germany routes it through the Land, under the federal nursing rules.
